To put it simply: Zinhle Essamuah is a storyteller.
Zinhle is currently in production for the original documentary, The Minority Vote, a film following minority, millennial voters during the 2016 Presidential Election.
As one of six Presidential Administrative Fellows at The George Washington University, Zinhle is pursuing her Master’s in Media and Strategic Communication with a concentration in Documentary Filmmaking. She currently works at GW’s Multicultural Student Services Center and recently completed her time at The Global Women’s Institute as the Communications Specialist.
Zinhle has a special interest domestic and international conflict reporting. Through SimplyZinhle Productions, LLC Zinhle works as a multimedia shooter, producer and editor. Her recent projects include the award-winning documentary, Hands Up. When not filming or writing, Zinhle performs as a vocalist and actor. She studied at Michael Howard Studios professional acting studio in New York City. Some of her greatest joys come from traveling and sharing stories. In her free time, she explores farmer’s markets, reads (and writes in the margins), laughs and travels.
